EMRHA holds it's first show of 2008!!

WinSum Ranch in Schuylerville, NY

We had a gorgeous day with some real warm temps, it hit just above 80 on April 19, 2008, for our first show of the year.

We had an outstanding turnout of people and some great competition.

Rob and Wilma ended up with 18 points for the day.

Wendy and Jack ended up with 48 points and the High Point Champions and Versatility Champions in the Open division.

EMRHA Cowboy Race at Burchland Experience in Hartford, NY

Wendy and Jack competed in this tough course on May 10th at Burchland. It was our first time having an event there and we are sure to go back again!

Wendy ended up with an overall time of 7 minutes 20 seconds. BUT with credits given to them at the judged obstacles, they had a full 5 minutes taken off of their overall time!!! The highest amount all day of any competitor!!

They ended up in second place in the Open division, even with a large error on Wendy's part, missing a crucial turn in the woods. It still was a great time and a welcome relief from competing in the arena.

EMRHA Fonda Show series held June 7th and 8th.

The sweltering hot temperatures hurt entries a bit but overall, it was a success.

Wilma did great considering it was her first two day show. Rob showed her successfully in ranch cutting, ranch riding, working cowhorse, ranch reining and conformation. They ended up with 36 points for the weekend!!

Jack did a super job as well, getting stronger as the weekend went on. Wendy competed with him in ranch riding, ranch trail, ranch cutting, working cow horse and conformation. They ended up with 51 points for the weekend!

Saturday they were High Point Reserve Champions in the open and Versatility Champions in the Open.  Sunday, they were Reserve Champions in Versatility and High Point for the Open division.

EMRHA Cowboy Race-Gelinas Farm NH

We headed up to NH at the Gelinas Farm for our second cowboy race of the year. It was a great day and we had a good turnout. Lots of new faces up that way.

Rob again judged and Wendy rode Jack in the Open. It was a great course, utilizing the outdoor terrain of the farm. Wendy ended up in first place in the Open division.

EMRHA Cowboy Race-Burchland Hartford,NY

It was another great day and a tough course for the last cowboy race of the year.

Rob judged but Wendy and Jack competed. They ended up with a course time of 9:08 but once the bonus points got tallied and time got pulled off, they ended up with a 4:08 overall. That's 5 full minutes of time taken off!!

They ended up with first place in the Open division and getting selected for the Horsemanship Award as well.

EMRHA Fonda Fall Horse Show-September

We had another great Fonda show in September.

Turnout was good and the weather held off for the weekend.

Overall, Jack and Wilma did super. Rob ended up with another 20 points on Wilma and Wendy added another 39 points on Jack.

EMRHA Fall Spooktacular-October 25th-NH

We went up to the Gelinas Farm in Pembroke, NH for the last show of the year.

It was a beautiful fall day and we saw a few new faces show up to give ranch horse a try.

For day end, Rob ended up with 30 points on Wilma and the Open Versatility Championship, for the first time with her!! He was third overall for Open High Point as well.

Wendy and Jack amassed another 32 points, getting Reserve Champion Open High Point and finishing up third overall in Open Versatility.

What a great way to end the year.
